When Is Eid al-Adha 2023 -Time and Date

Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the two most important holidays in Islam. It commemorates the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God.

Eid al-Adha begins on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. It is a time for Muslims to come together to celebrate, pray, and give thanks to God.

The date of birth of Hilal of the month of Al-Hajjah is not fixed. It is determined by the sighting of the new moon, which can vary from year to year. In 2023, the new moon of Al-Hajjah is expected to be sighted on June 18, 2023. This means that Eid al-Adha, which marks the end of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, will be celebrated on June 27, 2023.
